How Zenslate collects, uses, and protects your personal data.
Zenslate, operated by Mikołaj Badyl HexeoSoft, Poland ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your personal data when you use our mobile application Zenslate and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using Zenslate, you agree to the practices described below and our Terms of Service.
1. Data Controller and Contact

2. Information We Collect
We collect limited personal and technical data necessary to operate and improve our Service.
2.1. Account and Authentication Data
- Email address (used for passwordless login).
- Name and profile photo (if provided by your Google account).
- Managed securely via Firebase Authentication (Google).
- We do not store passwords.
2.2. Conversations and Uploaded Files
- We store your chat history (prompts and AI responses) linked to your Firebase account to enable access to your past sessions.
- You can delete individual chats or your entire account at any time; this permanently removes associated data.
- Uploaded files are stored in Cloudflare R2 (Eastern Europe region) and are automatically deleted when you delete the related chat or account.
2.3. Analytics and Usage Data
- App opens, selected generation mode, number of tokens used (input/output).
- Device info (model, OS, language, country) and IP address (technical use only).
This data helps maintain performance, detect bugs, and improve user experience. Handled via PostHog Cloud (EU region) - no prompt or message content is collected.
2.4. Advertising Data
- We display ads using Google AdMob.
- In the EEA/UK, personalized ads are shown only after explicit consent via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP).
- If you decline, only non-personalized (contextual) ads are displayed.
- Premium subscribers do not see ads.
- Data processed: advertising identifiers (GAID/IDFA) and ad interaction events.
2.5. Payment Data
- Subscription and purchase information is processed by RevenueCat and the respective app stores (Google Play / App Store).
- We do not store card details.
3. AI Processing
- When you generate content, your prompt text is sent securely to OpenAI's GPT-5 model to create a response.
- We do not send your Firebase ID, email, or profile data to OpenAI.
- OpenAI acts as our data processor and does not use your data for model training (data usage for training is disabled).
- AI responses are for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional advice.
- We are not affiliated with OpenAI, and OpenAI's terms and privacy rules apply to its API.
4. How We Use Your Data
- Authenticate and manage accounts.
- Provide and personalize the Service.
- Maintain conversation history and uploads.
- Improve app performance and analytics.
- Manage payments and subscriptions.
- Display ads (based on your consent).
- Ensure legal compliance and security.
We do not sell or trade user data.
5. Data Retention
We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law.

7. Data Security
We apply technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- End-to-end encryption between app and servers.
- Access control and role-based permissions.
- Firewalls, two-factor authentication, and secure backups.
- Limited data access for staff and partners.
- Continuous monitoring and anonymization where possible.
8. Data Sharing and Processors
We share data only with trusted processors essential for our Service:

All third parties process data strictly under our instructions and contracts (DPA/SCC).
9. Data Transfers Outside the EEA
Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent legal safeguards that ensure an adequate level of protection.
10. Children's Privacy
Zenslate is not directed to children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we become aware that a child has provided data, we will promptly delete it.
11. Account Deletion
You can delete your account anytime from the app settings. This permanently removes account data, chat history, and uploaded files.
Backups or logs are also purged within 30 days where applicable.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. We will notify users in-app or on our website before material updates take effect. Continued use of Zenslate after updates means acceptance of the revised terms.
